I love a good city break, whether it’s in the UK or across Europe. These trips can be as short or as long as you want them, offering the perfect opportunity to explore somewhere new. Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, with family or as part of a group, there’s a city break to suit everyone.
Some are all about relaxing, while others are packed with sightseeing, great food and nightlife, but every city has something different to offer. From iconic landmarks and historic streets to local culture and hidden gems, city breaks can be exciting, inspiring, romantic and full of unforgettable memories.
Here you’ll find my honest experiences exploring cities across the UK and Europe, along with the places, attractions and moments that stood out the most to me. Every destination has been explored firsthand, and every opinion is my own.
I hope one of these city breaks inspires your next adventure.
Barcelona
Barcelona is one of those cities I never get tired of visiting. I’ve been lucky enough to visit several times over the years, and each trip has offered something different. From Gaudí’s incredible architecture and bustling streets to relaxing on the beach and enjoying some fantastic food, it’s a city that has something for everyone. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend or adding it to a longer holiday, Barcelona is a destination I’d be happy to return to time and time again.
